Artist’s Statement:
To capture a moment, a scene, has always been my purpose in photography.
As a child I would look through old family photos with my dad and often hear him lament how one could never truly capture the beauty of a sunrise or landscape with a camera and film.
Technology may never be able to record all the information in a photograph that our minds can hold in a memory (including the senses of touch, taste, smell and sound), but my goal as a photographer has been to come as close as possible to recording the visible wonders of our world on film.
